January 12, 2015 – Promoting and growing women’s participation in golf has been a decades-long endeavor at PING. Founder Karsten Solheim and his wife, Louise, were dedicated ambassadors for women’s golf at every level. In 1975, PING was the first club manufacturer to be the title sponsor of an LPGA tournament, The Karsten-PING Open. Fifteen years later, Karsten and Louise created The Solheim Cup.
